Sharing Hope... Showing Love
Local Programs:
Life Seeds has started local programs to sow seeds of life to those in need.
We are involved in the following local programs:

Grocery Giveaway
Starting in July 2007, Life Seeds began collecting and giving away bags of groceries to needy families in Corvallis. Our dream is to see this program expand, using people from various churches and youth groups. Thanks to Albertson's and Gleaners, for cart loads of donated bakery goods. Thanks to Love, INC for connecting us with needy families and thanks to Benton County Foundation for a grant to purchase perishable groceries for this project. Contact us for more information.

Christmas Gift and Grocery Giveaway
At Christmas 2007, Life Seeds in partnership with Love INC, helped 34 local families have gifts and food boxes for Christmas. Thanks to generous donations of gifts from the Boey Byers' family and Toys for Tots in Eugene, each needy child received four to six presents to open on Christmas. These presents had a retail value of $3,000. One thousand dollars of groceries were given away and delivered by over 50 volunteers logging 268 volunteer hours. Life Seeds is looking to do this again in 2009.

Free manicures and pedicures for chemo or radiation patients
Life Seeds charity is offering gift certificates to a local day spa as a free gift to patients undergoing chemo or radiation. Life Seeds can also provide transportation to the spa if needed. Many thanks to Lisa Mattson of Hair, Body and Sole salon for donating their services!

Do you know someone undergoing cancer treatment? Could they use a little comfort? Have them call Robin at 758-9122 for more info.
